About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

240 hour 10 days visa free transit!

Hello! I have a question about my itinerary for the 240 hour 10 day visa free transit!

I am flying from Houston, USA to Japan (staying 10 days) then flying to Seoul South Korea (staying 5 days) then flying to Shanghai (staying 6 days) then flying to Hong Kong (staying 4 days) then flying to Chengdu and taking train to chongqing and other approved areas for 7 days. Then we are taking a flight from Shanghai to Tokyo. Does this all approve with the TWOV? And is it okay to enter and exit from different airports in China? Are we allowed two 10 day TWOV?

Also,my sister is going from Houston to Seoul ( staying 5 days) flying to Shanghai ( staying 6 days) then going to Houston USA w/ a layover in Dallas Texas. Is this okay for the 10 day TWOV too?

All the itineraries you have presented are definitely and undoubtedly eligible for 240 hour visa free transit. Also, you are definitely allowed to use one airport to enter mainland China and another (totally different) one to exit it. This is allowed under 240 hour visa free transit and you are allowed to use 2 x 240 hour visa free transit within the short time frame, exactly as you have presented.

As far as your sister's itinerary is concerned she should take care that her flight from Shanghai to US does not have a landing in South Korea of any kind because she used South Korea to enter mainland China. I know you understand it, but it is always wise to repeat and double check the essential part of the journey. Have a wonderful visit to China.
