About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

240 hour TWOV

Hello, for the 240 hour TWOV, I'm planning to fly from US -> HK -> train to Guangzhou -> train to chongqing -> fly to korea -> US. Is this a possible?

You will have to make a tiny change in your itinerary in order to make it eligible for 240 hour visa free transit. Instead of a train from Hong Kong you will have to take a ferry to Shekou (in Shenzhen) or to Nansha (located south from Guangzhou and connected to it by metro). Simply speaking, taking a train from Hong Kong toward mainland China is not eligible under 240 hour visa free transit. I hope this does not make much effort or hassle for your overall itinerary. Everything else is perfectly eligible for 240 hour visa free transit. Have a nice visit to China.
