About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Am I eligible for the 240-hour visa free transit?

Hello,
I have a US passport, and I will be traveling as follows:

LAX > HKG > Macau via HZMB {I'll stay in Macau for few days}
Macau > Nansha port (Guangzhou) via Ferry {I'll stay for less than 240 hours before taking a ferry to HK}
Shekou port (Shenzhen) > HK > LAX {I'll stay in HK for a few days before taking a flight back to LAX}

Am I eligible for the 240-hour visa free transit?
Thank you for your advice and help in this matter!

You will have to make one tiny change. Since there is no ferry from Macau to Nansha, you will take a ferry from Macau to Shekou instead. When you arrive in Shekou you can proceed toward Guangzhou or some other mainland Chinese destinations. As far as your exit toward Hong Kong is concerned you can travel from Shekou to Hong Kong by ferry, but in my opinion taking a train would be more convenient and cheaper. OK, this is a detail that you will decide about. Also it is essential to have your ferry or train ticket (from mainland China toward Hong Kong) bought in advance even before you depart from Macau toward mainland China. Have a nice visit to China.
