Unfortunately the citizens of the Philippines are not eligible for 240 hour visa free transit. They are formally and technically eligible for 5 day Shenzhen visa on arrival, but the main problem here is the fact that the success record for the citizens of the Philippines is quite poor. In other words, I really and wholeheartedly recommend that you obtain a Chinese visa in advance. If you do not have enough time for successful application, I would recommend you to bring your entire support documentation and to arrive at Lo Wu / Luohu border crossing from Hong Kong by taking a suburban train. You will apply for Shenzhen 5 day VOA right at the border at Luohu visa office. You will present your support documentation and it is quite possible that based on the relevant documentation, the Chinese visa officials will issues those Shenzhen VOAs. The price of this VOA is 130 CNY. It is important to understand that the counting of 5 days starts teh day after the day of entry. In other words, the day of entry is not counted against your 5 available days in Shenzhen. So, if you apply on September 23, you are allowed to stay in Shenzhen until September 28 until 23:59. When you are done with your visit to Shenzhen you will return to Hong Kong by taking any border crossing and also any mean of transport, high speed train included. Now when you know your options, you will decide which one will you choose. Have a nice and successful visit to Shenzhen.
