Chinese Visa Application

Hi,
I understand it is probably more advisable to apply for a Chinese visa in home country rather than in Hong Kong (for non HK ID holder). I want to visit relatives in Hong Kong before visiting China. Since the travel itinery has yet to be firmed up (or want it to be flexible). Is it possible to apply for a Chinese visa in this situation? If possible, What is the best way to do it?

You can try to apply for a tourist visa in HK, and the success rate seems to be high.

If you plan to stay in Mainland China for less than 10 days, you can travel along an eligible route to enjoy the 240h visa free transit, for example, HK – Mainland China – Canada.
