About:Transfer in T3 of Beijing Capital Airport

Transit through Beijing

I am en-route to London from NZ and I have a 19-hour transit time in Beijing, and I have a transit hotel booked. Do I need to collect my luggage and go through Security or is this taken care of by China Air.

Return flight is a 22 hour transit with hotel so will have the same problem on return.

You need to check if your luggage will be checked through; if yes, then you don't need to check your luggage. And you need to get the 24h temporary entry permit at the immigration counter to leave the airport.
