GZ to HK airport

I'm catching a flight from Hong Kong. Whats the best way to get to Hong Kong airport from Liwan, Guangzhou -would it be ferry or train, is the ferry more direct to the airport?

Yes, the ferry is more direct. You can take the ferry at 09:15, 12:00 and 17:15 at Pazhou Port to HKIA. For more flexible travel, take a GZ - HK bullet train to West Kowloon Station, then take the airport express to HKIA.
