About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Visa free information pls

We are UK passport holders and UK citizens travelling to Shanghai from Sri Lanka for a cruise to Tokyo for 1 week.
We arrive on Friday 24th July at 115pm and cruise departs at 430pm on Saturday 25th July.
Do I qualify for the 240 hour visa free entry as my stay is over 24 hours?
We come back to Shanhai on Saturday August and fly out within 8 hours.
Will the double entry qualify for either free 24 hour visa or 240 hour visa?

Very simple... During your first stay in Shanghai, you will be covered by 240 and during your second stay by 24 hour visa free transit scheme. You should not worry because you as UK citizens do not need any kind of visa with this transit itinerary.
