About:10-year China Visa

240 hours visa-free

I am a Canadian, fly to Hong Kong, then to Chiang Mai Thailand.
Fly from Chiang Mai to Guangzhou, China, stay a week in China, then the train to Hong Kong.

Do I need a visa?
Can I quality for visa free?
