US Citizen - do I qualify for 240h visa free

I am a U.S. citizen travelling from California to Hong Kong. I want to take the bullet train from Hong Kong to GuangZhou for a couple of days, then return back to Hong Kong by bullet train. I will fly back to USA from Hong Kong. Do I qualify for 240h visa free transit?

Sorry, HK - Mainland China - HK is not an eligible route for the 240 and you cannot take bullet train to GZ to apply for it.
It's advised to take a ferry to GZ and then fly to USA without layover in HK to fit the 240. Or after the tour in Chinese mainland, you can head to Macao then HK to take your flight back home. In one words, a third party should be introduced in.
