Tourist visa requirement for Malaysian stays in China across 2025 to 2026 in less than 15days

Hi sir/madam,

I am Malaysian. I plan to travel to GuangZhou, China as tourist from 26 December 2025 to 3 January 2026. Total 9days of stay in China. Understand that Malaysian is exempted for China visa until end of 2025 for tourism purpose with duration of less than 15days. If I enter China 26 Dec 2025 and leave on 3 Jan 2026, do I need to apply China visa?

Thanks
Chun Wai

No, you don't. The 30-day visa free policy is effective until December 31, 2025, which means you can enter China before Dec. 31 and stay for 30 days. And it's very likely that the validity will be extended to end of 2026.
