About:How to Apply a China Visa in Hong Kong

fingerprints

Hello. I'm an American English teacher traveling in China on an L-visa. I met an official of a private bilingual Kindergarten, and after several meetings and interviews, I was offered a position and a contract. We completed the provincial-level's work-visa requirements and have been directed to apply in Hong Kong. Officials at the Qinghai Exit/Entry Bureau said I do not need fingerprints, "But if they do require them, the Visa Center will take them. I just wanted to verify if that is true, because all the Americans I have met who work in China said I need to get fingerprints authenticated in the USA. Would you please clarify the situation?

Normally your fingerprints are needed when you submit your application. You can consult the visa center while applying at HK visa center.
