About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

240 hours visa free transit - airlines

Hello!

Does it matter if I fly into China on one airline and fly out on another? For example, flying into China on Malaysia Airlines and out of China on China Eastern Airlines? Or it has to be the same airline in and out of China?

Thank you so much.

You can use totally unrelated airlines and have totally unrelated tickets. This detail is irrelevant until your itinerary is eligible. It is the itinerary that determines your eligibility and not the type of the ticket or the airlines. In other words, you can even exit mainland China toward Hong Kong by train, for example. So, you can proceed with your travel plans in a creative way, but you should take care that your itinerary is eligible or to simplify, that the immediate points before and after your mainland China visit are in two different countries or eligible territories (eligible territories are Hong Kong, Taiwan and China). Have a nice visit to China.
