About:Ferry of Shekou Port, Shenzhen

visit Shenzhen from Hongkong for sightseeing and back to Hongkong

Visiting HK from Canada for 2 weeks and would love to also visit Shenzhen and Guangzhou for 7 days then back to HK and fly back to Canada. Back to HK for a few days before flying back to Canada

Is this itinerary eligible for 240 house Visa free requirement? Will you please recommend a step by step instructions for the process? Do I need to book everything before I go? Thanks for your help.

Katie, HK – Shenzhen – Guangzhou – HK is not eligible for 240h visa free transit because the policy requires that your immediate points before and after Mainland China belong to different countries or regions. Obviously, your route does not qualify. Maybe you can first go to Macau after visiting Guangzhou, and transfer back to HK then, which will form a qualified route.

In this case, you need to prepare the ferry ticket to Macau from Nansha International Cruise Port in Guangzhou with a confirmed departure date and book hotels in Mainland China before entering Shenzhen. Then, go to Shenzhen Shekou International Cruise Port from HK by ferry, where you need to apply for a 240h stay permit. After that, you can enjoy a nice trip. Finally, leave Guangzhou for Macau before the expiration of the permit.
