About:China Customs Declaration

I am bringing jades into China for polishing and carving and then take them out again.

I have some jades that I bought long time ago and the polish is very bad. It is a total of 100 pieces but the value is not too high. I intend to bring them into China to have them repolish and then take them out again. Is it allowed? Do I have to declare?

It seems to be a little troublesome to bring 100 pieces of jade, which may be considered as commercial goods rather than personal items. You have to declare to the customs and prepare required documents such as the invoice, packing lists, and Certificate of Origin. You also need to pay some tax in general.
