Tickets in paper or online?

Hello,
If I buy tickets from Beijing to Datong, do I have to ship tickets to my hotel or can I recieve them in my email?

Do you mean buy from TravelChinaGuide? They will send you an email including the ticket information. Actually, after the e-ticket is issued, you can simply get on board the train with your passport used for ticket reservation.
