About:Hong Kong Airport to Shenzhen Ferry

Shekou port to hong kong airport

Hi. My flight from hong kong back to Malaysia will be 2:30pm. I am planning to travel from shenzhen shekou port by ferry straight to hong kong airport skypier.
Looking at the timing, I am thinking to take the 10am ferry. I need to ask, how much time do I need to be there by? Do I need to arrive shekou port 2hrs earlier or 1hr earlier is ok? Please advise.
I can see from your page here that my airline is on the participating list for ferry transfer. I can only check in when I arrive the airport. Ferry departure has to be 3hrs earlier than my flight departure.
My flight is 2:30pm.
So am I alright to take the 10am ferry from shekou to hong kong airport? Just want to know what time do I need to be there at shekou airport the latest as I dont want to be late.

Don’t worry, Heidi. There is no problem to take the 10am ferry. It only takes about 30 minutes onboard from Shekou to Sky Pier, leaving enough time to complete the rest steps before getting on your plane.

The ferry departure should be at least 3 hours earlier than the flight departure, meaning that you can take 11:30am ferry at the latest for your 2:30pm flight.

Besides, you need to arrive at the port 60 minutes before its departure, meaning that if you plan to take 10am ferry, you need to arrive at Shekou Port before 9am, and if the 11:30am one, arrive before 10:30am.

To conclude: Arrive at the port before 9am – Take the 10am ferry – Arrive at Sky Pier at around 10:30am-11:00am
