About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do we qualify for 240-Hour Visa-Free - US Passport

Hi, I have a US passport. I have my original air ticket US>HK>US....

However, I am planning to get a separate air ticket from HK to Guangzhou ( staying 5 days), then from Guangzhou will fly to Taiwan then Korea.

I am eligible for the 240 hours visa free transit??

Your itinerary, in the way as you have presented it, is definitely eligible for 240 hour visa free transit and you do not need any kind of visa. I would like to inform you that you will have to have your Taiwan bound ticket already bought at the time of your check-in in Hong Kong for your Guangzhou bound flight. Have a pleasant visit to China.
