Under 24 hour visa free transit you have right to have several stops within mainland China and those stops could be even performed by different airlines and unrelated tickets. In any case, it is much easier when you have your entire journey on one ticket. At the time of your check-in in Hanoi you will state that you travel to Paris via China using 24 hour visa free transit. After a short check, you will be allowed to board the plane for your Shenzhen bound flight. Upon your landing in Shenzhen the first thing that you will do will be to approach 24/240 hour visa free transit counter where you will present your flight itinerary and apply for a temporary entry permit.
