About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Flight from London to China

Hello I am flying London to Dalian (via Hong Kong) on Cathay. Then Dalian to Guangzhou for a meeting. And then back separate ticket Emirates Guangzhou to London with 2 hour stop over in Dubai before returning to London. Is this ok for the 240 hour visa please?

Actually this is 240 hour visa free transit and not a visa. Your itinerary is definitely eligible for 240 hour visa free transit and you are allowed to travel on separate tickets. You should just take care not to surpass the allowed 240 hours.
