About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

US Citizen Passport - 240 Hour Visa Free Visa

US citizen passport. I’m flying from SFO (San Francisco) to Beijing, China (PKX) visiting Beijing, Xian and Shanghai for a total of 8 days. I will then be flying from Shanghai (PVG) to Tokyo (NRT) visiting Japan for a total of 9 days and flying to (SFO) USA from Osaka, Japan (KIX). Does this qualify for transit visa?

Yes, your itinerary is eligible for 240 hour visa free transit and you are free to enjoy your travel plan. You should just take care that your flight from US to China does not have a landing in Japan of any kind.
