About:How to Travel from Hong Kong to Shenzhen

Visiting from Hong Kong

I intend to come up from Hong Kong for one day via Lo Wu and then return the same way to Hong Kong that evening

Am I correct that I need to get visa in Lo Wu (at a rate of 130 CNY)?

Yes, you are right. You can also get the visa at Shekou or Huanggang port.
