About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit in Guangdong

Hong Kong (ferry) ---> Shekou Port (Shenzhen) --->Guangzhou/Zhongshan (ferry) --->Macau--->Hong Kong

Hi, I will be visiting Hong Kong soon and above is our itinerary. I suppose I'll eligible to get the 240 visa-free entry since I'm entering from Hong Kong (Region A) and leaving for Macau (Region B), both by ferry. Is a confirmed ferry ticket from Zhongshan to Macau the only document that I need to show the border official when I enter China? Do I need to show confirmation of hotel booking in Macau and onward transportation ticket?

Yes, you are eligible and Zhongshan to Macau ferry ticket is the only document you need to show but better with hotel booking in cities of Guangdong rather than Macau. Oh, don't forget to bring your passport, too.
