About:Chinese Paper-cut Museum

Check in again in Shanghai

Hi, I am a Vietnamese national with a flight through Shanghai-Pudong, transit time 4h, arrival from CDG with Air France, departure to HAN with China Eastern. Air France informed me I will have to collect my bags at PVG and check in again. My question is will it possible to complete re-check in at transfer desk without leaving sterile area? If I have to leave airside to check in at landside will I be eligible for 24h visa free entry or will I need transit visa? Thank you

I think you need to leave the airside to collect luggage and re-check-in. Don't worry, you are eligible for the 24h visa free transit.
