About:Overstaying in China & Penalty

30 days free visa

Hi I have an Australian passport. We can visit China for 30 days Visa free for 2025. That means I can stay in China for 29 nights and fly out on the 30th day? For example, I arrive into Shanghai at 7am Saturday 19th July and fly out of Beijing at 9am Sunday 17th August = thats 30 days. This is acceptable? Thanks.

The duration is counted from the date of entry to the 30th calendar day until 24:00. In your case, 19th July is the first day, and you should leave before 24:00 of 17th August, so it's acceptable.
