About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Guangzhou, Shenzhen, HK

Hello I wanted to clarify, a train ticket from Shenzhen Futian station to HK west Kowloon is a valid proof of transit when requesting a transit visa in Guangzhou airport (arriving from Indonesia) is that correct or I am not allowed to exit by train from shenzhen to HK under transit visa received in Guangzhou airport?

Ivan, takin a train from Shenzhen Futian station to HK West Kowloon station is definitely eligible for 240 hour visa free transit. In other words, you are allowed to to exit mainland China toward Hong Kong. There are two details I want to emphasize:

1. Your stay in mainland China should be longer than 24 hours and up to 240 hours to be eligible for 240 hour visa free transit.
2. You will have to buy your train ticket in advance, even before your departure from Indonesia because it is your proof that you will be really in a transit. Also, you should print out your train ticket confirmation and have it at hand because you will have to present it in both Indonesia at the time of check-in and in Guangzhou at 24/240 visa free transit counter immediately after your landing.
