Connecting flight in Shanghai airport 12hours and 25 minutes

Hi! I am Indonesian passport holder travelling from Japan to Indonesia with 2 bookings air ticket. The first ticket is from Tokyo to Singapore with 12hours transit at Shanghai airport. The second ticket is from Singapore to my home country Indonesia. My question is could i stay inside Shanghai airport without visa on the way to Singapore? Thank you in advance for your kind reply.
