Short transit

Hi! What's to expect for a short international transit in Shanghai? (UK -> Shanghai -> Australia) is it going to be as easy as walking from one gate to another, or is it to be expected immigration checkpoints, security checkpoints etc?

It's pretty easy. If you hold an interline ticket, you will just need to go through a simple security check, no other checks.
