About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Am I elligible for the 24-hour visa Free transit?

Hello,

I am a Filipino national (Philippines). These are my flight details

Sat, 21/12
16:10 Arrival at Guangzhou

Mon, 23/12
00:50 Connecting flight to New Zealand.

My first connecting flight was supposed to be on Sunday 00:50 but was cancelled. I obviously have no choice in the matter, but am I still eligible for the visa-free transit? This is obviously way longer than 24 hours, and I would really like to check in to a hotel and get some proper rest. :(

Unfortunately, you are not eligible for 24 hour visa free transit because your layover is longer than 24 hours. In other words, you will have to obtain a Chinese transit (G) visa in advance. If only you have required a refund when your flight ticket was changed so drastically... It seems that now it is too late to do something like this, so your only option, if the ticket is non refundable, is to obtain a transit visa. This type of visa is the easiest to obtain, but you should do it in good time in order not to lose your flight. I'm sorry.
