About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Transfer in China takes 26 hours. What to do?

Hello our flights planned arrival in China (Shanghai Pudong) is 00:25. then we have a domestic flight in china to Shenzen bao‘an. After that our final flight leaves shenzen at 2:50am. This would mean that our total planned time in china comes up to 26 hours and 25 minutes. Will this scenario still fall under the 24hour TWOV rule how will I be able to take this flight as a German citizen?

Oskar, you as a German citizen can travel to China absolutely visa free for a period of up to 15 days, so you can proceed with your travel plans without bothering yourself about the stuff like 24/72/144 or similar visa free schemes. All you need is your passport. Also, just before the landing in Shanghai an arrival cards will be dispensed aboard the plane. You will take one, fill it out and tick the box - transit. When you land in Shanghai, you will just head to the immigration with your passport and your filled up arrival card. After you have cleared the immigration, just spend your time in the way you wish before your departure to Shenzhen. Have a pleasant and relaxed journey.
