About:Sleepers on Chinese High Speed Trains

Husband and wife travelling together

If I buy 2 tickets for a 4 berth Soft (Deluxe?) Sleeper, will we be in in the same compartment?
I am wondering if the compartments are separated for males and females only?

If you buy the two tickets in one order, it's highly possible to be in the same compartment. Even if they are not, you can try to change the berth with passenger in the nearby compartment. The compartments are unisex.
