Travel itinerary question

Hello,
Am I going to be able to travel beginning in the US, Hong Kong for 3 days, then to Shanghai for 4 days and then on to Japan?

Happy to tell you that you don't need a visa for the route, just prepare the ticket for Japan and hotel booking in Shanghai before entering China.
