About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Multiple stops in China

Hi, i am flying to Japan via Singapore and transit at Shanghai, and return flight will transit again in Shanghai for 14hours and 2nd stop at Kunming for 20hours, I am Indonesia passport holder, what should i do ? Can i using transit visa free and explore Shanghai and Kunming ?

How long is the first layover in Shanghai? If shorter than 24h, then you are covered by 24h visa free transit policy and you can leave the airport for sightseeing after obtaining a temporary entry permit at the border counter. And you need a transit visa for the second layover in Shanghai and Kunming for that it is in total longer than 24 hours.
