French passport holder wanting to go from Hong Kong for a day trip to shenzen

Just wondering if a French passport holder needs a VOA to travel from Hong Kong to shenzen for a one day visit?
See from above message that Belgian passport holders do NOT need to apply for one. Whilst uk passport holders definitely do.
Can anyone help with this?

French citizens (passport holders) do not need a visa to enter China for a period of up to 15 days. In other words, you should not bother with any visa or visa free transit schemes when you can enter China in the same way as you enter UK for example. All you have to do is to buy a high speed train ticket and travel from Hong Kong to Shenzhen or any part of China. You can also return back by taking any border crossing and using any mean of transport. There is no limit for you in this regard. UK citizens need a visa and that is a reason why are they among the most numerous visitors to this forum.
