About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

transit in CAN for 4-5 hrs

We will be flying MNL-CAN-LHR roundtrip , shall we apply for transit visa? We are filipino passport holders

You do not need any kind of visa because your transit in Guangzhou will be covered by 24 hour visa free transit. Since your layover is quite short you will just walk from one to the other gate. Also, you will not be a subject of immigration and customs control, but just will pass through a short security check between the two gates. You do not have to announce anything to anybody and you do not have to fill out any kind of form or similar. In short, you are good to go. Have a nice journey.
