About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Vietnamese passport holder/ transit in Beijing (for 4 hrs) & in Shenzhen (for around 20 hrs)

Hello,
I have a flight from Frankfurt to Hanoi, and transit in Beijing for around 4 hours and a flight back from Hanoi to Frankfurt and transit in Shenzhen for around 19 hours 20 minutes. As far as I know, I am eligible for 24h-free-visa in those airports?
Also, if yes, am I only allowed to stay at the airport(s) during those transit time, or can I go through customs to visit the city listed (e.g. sight seeing/shopping) (Beijing or Shenzhen) and come back the airports to catch my next flights with the 24 TWOV without any problem?

Yes, you are eligible for the 24h visa free. If the layover is more than 8 hours, you can get a 24-hour visa free entry permit at the border inspection counter to leave the airport for a sightseeing. So you can go for a sightseeing in Shenzhen.

Unfortunately, you are not eligible for any kind of visa free transit scheme because your total transit time in China is longer than 24 hours. Total transit time is calculated from your first scheduled arrival in China until your final departure. Flight time within Chinese cities is also counted...

I am sorry to say, but you will need a transit visa obtained in advance for a journey of this kind.
