About:How to Travel from Hong Kong Airport to Shenzhen

Visa application : Xian 1-16 days n HK to Shenzhen for 2 days

Good afternoon, we are a group of 4 (all Australians) travelling to Xian, Changsa & Chongqing from 1-16th September. From 16-18th via HK to Shenzhen for 2 days. Do we need to apply visa for 2 entries or just 1 entry as it has been visa waived for Australian to travel to China for 15 days (which has not been announced when it is going to start). Please advise, thank you :)

Feel excited to tell you that from July 1, 2024 to December 21, 2025, Australian citizens are granted 15-day visa-free entry to Mainland China. So you only need a single-entry for your first stay from September 1-16. Or you may adjust your travel itinerary and make the first stay less than 15 days, so as to enjoy two visa-free entries.

From 1Jul 2024 Australian traveling to China with the duration not exceeding 15 days, are eligible for visa-free entry to China. It’s advisable you shorten your stay from 1Sep to 15Sep instead of 16 Sep then re-entry again from via HK land port into Shenzhen from 16-18Sep for both visa free. Otherwise anything above 15 days u r required to apply for visa, which is a hassle or u liable to be detained as an illegal overstayer and be fined.
