How to purchase a train ticket from Xiamen to Guangzhau ?

I will stay in Xiamen for 4 days , shall I buy the ticket in advance , or on the day I leave from Xiamen to Guanzhou ?
Is it easy to buy a ticket ?

It costs USD 41-47 for different trains and their booking page shows the service fee is USD6.
