Would some ports be more efficient than others in processing the 5 days VISA?

Can the payment of RMB of 150 be paid with credit card?

Yes, by far the best port is Shekou port. You can reach it by taking the first morning ferry form Hong Kong. It opening hours are: 9:00 - 13:00 & 14:30 - 16:30, so plan accordingly. It is CKS - Chu Kong Passenger Transport company that offers ferry services between Hong Kong and Shekou. It is important to understand that after you have stayed in Shenzhen, you can return back to Hong Kong by taking and border crossing and any mean of transport, high speed train included.

The price for Shenzhen 5 days visa on arrival is 130 CNY and the payment is in cashless form by, global credit cards.
