About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Transit in Chengdu

Hello, I am Indonesian citizen and I'm planning to fly from Bishkek (FRU) to Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) with 20 hours layover in Chengdu (TFU). I will use Loong Air from FRU to TFU and VietJet Air from TFU to SGN. Am I eligible to obtain 24 hrs TWOV?

Yes, you are eligible for 24 hour visa free transit and you do not need any kind of visa. Please, have in mind to print out your flight tickets in order to present them in a more convenient way in both Bishkek and in Chengdu. In Bishkek you will declare that you will fly to HCMC via China (Chengdu) using 24 hour visa free transit and here you will present them your flight tickets and especially the one with VietJet.

Upon your landing in Chengdu, the first thing that you will do is to approach 24/144 hour visa free transit where you will apply for a temporary entry permit by presenting your flight tickets. This application is free of charge. After a short check, you will be granted a permit, you will cross immigration and collect your luggage. After some time you will perform a check-in for your flight to HCMC and basically, this is it. Have a nice journey.
