Australian visit Macau and Zhuhai

Hi,

I am an Australian visiting Macau via Malaysia for a holiday. While in Macau, I’m thinking of visiting Zhuhai. Do I need a visa to visit Zhuhai? Am I eligible for VOA? If yes, where do I apply for it? In Macau or Zhuhai?

Yes, you need a visa to visit Zhuhai and you are eligible for one. The best way to obtain Zhuhai 3 day visa on arrival is to go to the main border crossing Portas do Cerco / Gongbei. You will not apply for a visa at Portas do Cerco because this is a Macau counterpart of the mainland border crossing - Gongbei. In other words, you will apply for a Zhuhai visa at Gongbei. Since the border crossing is quite large, you will ask for a visa office. You will need your passport and a fee of 130 or 275 CNY (I am not certain if the new price of 130 CNY instituted for Shenzhen visa also applies for Zhuhai visa or they have retained 275 CNY for Zhuhai visa) that you will pay by any major global credit card. Also, you will fill out a form when you reach the visa office at Gongbei border crossing. I recommend you to be at Gongbei border crossing somewhere between 09:00 and 16:00.
