About:Layover in Shanghai

can you leave your checked in baggage at the airport?

I have a layout of 17 hours with the same airline. Is there an option to visit and leave the checked in baggage at the airport? Also how much is the transport from the airport to the city? Is there any day pass or good deal?

Of course you can leave it at the airport. For a day tour, you can buy a Shanghai Metro day pass at metro stations. From Pudong airport to the city, it takes about about one hour by line 2. If you land in Hongqiao airport, it is close to Yu Garden in the city center, only 35 minutes by line 10.
