US Backpacker in Seoul

Hello, I am an American citizen visiting Seoul as a tourist. I don’t have a South Korean visa as it wasn’t required for my visit. Next I’d like to visit China. Is it possible for me to obtain a Chinese visa while staying here in Seoul?

No. You need to apply for a China tourist visa in your home country. However, there are ways to enter China visa-free. The 144-hour visa free transit is available for Americans. And also, Shenzhen City grants tourists a 5-day visa on arrival. See details on this page: https://cdn.travelchinaguide.com/tour/visa/free-transit-144-hours.htm
