Hello, do I need to notarize my police clearance when applying for a Chinese work permit

I already got a job in China and my company is working on getting me the Chinese work permit and they’re requesting documents from me including the police clearance. Do I need to notarize it or I can just send them the scan copy?

As I know, you need to have it notarized at the Chinese Embassy in your country. You can consult the embassy for details.
