Multiple Entry on a S2 visa

Good afternoon, I am currently working in China and my partner plan to visit me for a two month period in 2024 and then wish to return again in January 2025.
1. If he applies for a S2 visa, is it possible to apply for multiple entry?
2. How often can you apply for a S2 visa. We are not married and I wish for him to join me permanently without finding a job in China.

1. Yes. S2 visa itself allows multiple entry. And note that the interval between the entries should be no less than 30 days.
2. There is no writen limit on how often one can apply for a China visa. The thing here is that you two have not got married yet and it's not very possible for him to get an S visa, but just a tourist visa, which usually is an single-entry with the duration of stay for 30 days.
