Is Gaotie wheel chair friendly?

I am planning a trip to visit Chaozhou and Shantou in May, taking my disabled mum along with my 2 siblings. We will fly into Guangzhou. Can you let me know if we can have our seats together as my mum will need us with her? Which route would you suggest that we choose?

You need to buy the ticket in advance and buy ticket for all in one order to have your seats together. Guangdong - Shantou - Chaozhou from south to north is better. The high speed trains, if I remember right the carriage no.5 is especially for those traveling with wheelchair. Or just book a business class seat, where the space is much larger. BTW, you can ask help from the railway staff who will be happy to offer you a hand.
