Double-Entry Visa (UK)

Hi, we are looking to travel to mainland China in May on a round trip via Beijing. Towards the end of our trip we plan to fly to South Korea for a few nights from Shanghai. We would then fly back to Beijing and fly home the following day. Neither of us have travelled to China before, however, we do travel often. Is there any possiblity that this would be an issue? I am aware that we would only need a double entry visa for the sake of one day. Just wondering if its worth missing out the visit to South Korea or not?

If you plan to fly to Beijing after the visit in South Korea and then fly to the UK the next day, you can enjoy the 24/144-hour visa-free transit holding a return flight ticket to the UK. You don't need to give up your visit in South Korea.

That means a single-entry visa is enough, used for your first entry to China.
