Applying permanent residence

Hello, good day I was planing to apply for a permanent residents visa, or greencard , I was married in my country and after marriage I came in China and live here for almost six years now , my question is I want to go home to my country for the first time but I’m afraid if I go back home to my country I’m afraid to lose my five years of stay and go back to the beginning of length of stay.

For spouses of Chinese citizens or of aliens having obtained permanent residence in China, whose marriage has lasted for five years, and who have lived in mainland for five years in a row, the annual stay here being no shorter than nine months, and who have stable and secured living status and place to live.

So it is okay for you to go back to your home country as long as your total stay is longer than 9 months.

I am a spousal visa holder and it was stated that I’m not allowed to work. It is necessary and required to have my own huge amount money in the bank?one of required items to get the permanent residence permit? I live a comfortable home but not that good source of income. I only depend on my husband. Is this can affect my legalization to be a permanent residence in China. And what are the requirements to bring or needed for applying permanent residence. There is no requirement on how much money you have to get a spouse permanent residence permit. The basic requirements include your marriage certificate, passport, previous visas, living address, husband's ID card. The immigration staff may ask for more case by case. One more thing to know is that it is not an easy thing to get the permanent residence permit even if you submit all the requirements. Anyway, good luck with you~
