USA / to Beijing with HK 2 hour connection / Hong Kong/ USA

Hello from USA,
Do I qualify for the 144hour visa free transit with my itinerary below? I’m worried since my flight is not a direct flight to Beijing from USA will give me problems.
USA to Beijing with Hong Kong connection (2hours*)
4 days later to Hong Kong
1 week later back to USA
