About:10-year China Visa for US and Canadian Citizens

Canadian Passport Expiring in 2 Years

I'd like to get a 10-year tourist visa, however this article states that the validity cannot exceed the time remaining on the passport. Does that mean I'd apply for a 2 year multiple-entry visa instead?

Yes, it does, and you may renew your passport and then apply for it.
